A single-channel building acoustics application module for Sound Level Meters Types 2250 that enables assessment of airborne, facade and impact sound insulation in buildings, according to a wide range of national and international standards.
The application module can be set up to guide the user through all necessary measurements (levels and reverberation time) at various points in source and receiver rooms. Measurements are controlled manually, and the built-in noise generator is automatically controlled. Sound insulation is calculated in situ and results are then displayed on the instrument.
UsesMeasurement position guidance
Measurement position guidance is invaluable during the measurement process, particularly where more than one sound source position is used. Using the large touch-sensitive display, it is easy to prepare the sequence and monitor the progress of the measurement.
Trust your measurements
A 'smiley face' quality indicator shows the integrity of the measurements at a glance, and suggests how best to improve them – both overall and in detail.
Reuse your data and save time
Copy measurement data between projects and tasks, saving considerable on-site time whenever measurement data is common to different tasks. For example, you can reuse receiver room reverberation time for an airborne and an impact test on the same floor section.
Results in situ
BZ-7228 calculates building acoustics results in situ and presents interactive graphical and numerical data, meaning you can check your results make sense before you pack your equipment and return to the office.
