Public address systems in shopping centres, railway stations, airports, concert halls etc., have to clearly inform people about escape information and directions in case of an emergency, as well as more general information.

The XL2 analyser with the STIPA option measures the speech intelligibility in accordance with the current BS EN 60268-16 Standard and earlier versions.

It includes ambient noise correction and automated averaging of measurements. The XL2 displays the measurement results as STI or as CIS results, accompanied by the individual levels and modulation indices of the seven octave bands.
The measurement results are acquired from the dedicated STIPA test signal source:
STIPA Reporting Tool : included with each hire, creates measurement reports according to the BS EN 60268-16 standard. Imports the data directly from your XL2 including the ambient noise measurements. The corresponding speech intelligibility STI or CIS values are shown. The report emulates the expected speech intelligibility in real-life conditions.
